A Challenging Property Becomes a Beautiful Space

terraced garden
The prolific garden of Sally and Randy Moore features perennials, shrubs and many decorative trees and junipers. The right side garden is vibrant with three hydrangeas--Hydrangea serrata, Hydrangea macrophylla 'Quick Fire', and a reblooming 'Blue Jangles'. Hydrangeas also frame the left side garden and include 'Nikko Blue,' 'Penny Mac', 'Bloom Struck,' another reblooming variety. Look for 'Venice' and 'Blue Doneau,' a gorgeous blue mop head.  Other garden attractions include a waterfall which forms the centerpiece of a back yard garden which has evolved over ten years. Selecting shrubs and perennials that would thrive in the sandy soil, hot afternoon sun and dry conditions was the main challenge faced by these avid gardeners.
